Tacoma Little Theatre's 108th season fills its entire seven-show lineup with comedies, and the Stadium District stage's next curtain rises Friday, Oct. 16, with "Arsenic and Old Lace."

Managing Artistic Director Chris Serface told The Tacoma Ledger the all-comedy slate was deliberate. With daily tensions in the news, TLT wanted shows that would make people happy and let them feel good about the world.

"We are looking for the theatre that people want to see, and the theatre that people don't know they want to see," Serface said.

The season's marquee draw is "Hallmarked," a new musical by Michael D. Fox and Cameron, Dawn and Quinn Dietlein. The show had its world premiere at Hale Centre Theatre in Utah this past spring. TLT's production, running Dec. 4–27, marks the West Coast premiere. Serface co-directs with Cassie Jo Fastabend. Debra Leach handles musical direction and Heather Arneson choreographs.

Tickets for "Hallmarked" are $33 for adults, $31 for students, seniors and military, and $25 for children 12 and under. A pay-what-you-can performance is set for Thursday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m. An ASL-interpreted show follows Sunday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m.

The rest of the season rounds out with "Dot" (Feb. 5–21, 2027), "Urinetown" (March 26–April 18, 2027), "The Importance of Being Earnest" produced in partnership with the University of Washington Tacoma (May 21–June 6, 2027) and "The Play That Goes Wrong," returning by popular demand (July 9–Aug. 1, 2027).

Longtime patron Addie Stewart called TLT "a little haven in our community" in an interview with The Tacoma Ledger. She said she is most excited for "Urinetown," a Tony Award-winning satire she has seen before, because the show layers heavier topics into comedy in a way that sneaks up on audiences.

Performer Lillian Taylor, who hopes to audition for the 108th season, told The Tacoma Ledger that local theater matters because it makes the art form accessible and lets people see their neighbors do something creative.

Actors interested in "Dot," directed by Jalen C. Penn, can audition Sunday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m. or Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at 210 N. I St.

"Arsenic and Old Lace," directed by Christopher Nardine, runs through Nov. 1. Season tickets for all seven shows cost $176.80 for adults. A six-admission FLEX Pass runs $160. Full details are on TLT's website.
