Jake Fey is seeking reelection to Washington House District 27, Position 2, in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. Pierce County's official sample ballot lists Fey, who prefers the Democratic Party, as the only named candidate for the seat.
Fey was first elected to the state House in 2012, according to his legislative biography. The biography identifies him as chair of the House Transportation Committee and a member of the Environment and Energy Committee.
His earlier public service includes Tacoma City Council and the boards of Sound Transit and Pierce Transit. He also served as vice chair of the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency and directed Washington State University's Energy Program from 2001 to 2019.
Fey holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Washington and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Puget Sound, according to the legislative biography.
Transportation and energy policy feature prominently in that official account of his work, including legislation supporting electric vehicles and cleaner fuels and the 2022 Move Ahead Washington transportation package.
On his campaign website, Fey says his priorities include climate action, addressing homelessness, efficient transportation, living-wage jobs and affordable higher education. He also supports access to healthcare, including reproductive and gender-affirming care. These are campaign statements attributed to Fey.
