Tim Meadows, who spent a full decade on Saturday Night Live, performs stand-up at Tacoma Comedy Club's downtown location this weekend.

The club at 933 Market St. is hosting four shows across the two nights, according to its website. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. shows (18+) and at 9 p.m. for the 9:45 p.m. shows (21+).

General admission seating is first come, first served, with premium seats in the front two rows and the front row of the balcony. Seats are only guaranteed until showtime.

Ticket prices are not listed on the venue's website. The club notes that door prices are higher than advance purchases. Readers can check tacomacomedyclub.com or call (253) 282-7203 for pricing.

A two-item minimum per person applies in the showroom.

Meadows grew up in Highland Park, Michigan, and started doing improv at the Soup Kitchen Saloon in Detroit before joining The Second City in Chicago in 1989.

There, he performed alongside Chris Farley, Bob Odenkirk, and Joel Murray. He landed on SNL in 1991 and stayed for 10 seasons, at that point the longest cast-member tenure in the show's history.

His signature character was Leon Phelps, the perpetually smooth-talking host of "The Ladies' Man," which became a feature film in 2000.

He also played Principal Duvall in the 2004 hit Mean Girls, written by his former castmate Tina Fey, and reprised the role in the 2024 musical adaptation.

"I'm not a leading actor. I'm the guy who comes in and repairs the plumbing," Meadows told Newcity Stage in a 2025 interview.

His career also includes recurring roles on The Goldbergs, Bob's Burgers, and The Colbert Report, plus a 1993 Emmy nomination for writing on SNL. His stand-up material draws on divorce, fatherhood, and showbiz, according to the same interview.
