Pierce County Auditor Linda Farmer is seeking reelection in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. The county's official sample ballot lists Farmer and Damon Townsend in the nonpartisan contest.
Farmer was elected auditor in November 2022, according to her county biography. The office administers elections and provides recording, licensing and passport services. Her government biography also identifies her as administrator of the county's Opioid Abatement Council.
Before becoming auditor, Farmer was elected to the Pierce County Charter Review Commission in 2016 and the Lakewood City Council in 2019. Her professional background includes communications and government affairs roles in city and state government and the private sector.
The county lists a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, a master's degree in communications management from Syracuse University and certification in elections administration. Farmer co-chairs the executive steering committee for VoteWA and the legislative committee for the Washington State Association of County Auditors, and serves on Washington's Voting Systems Review Board.
Her campaign describes election security, transparency, voter education and easier access to public services as priorities. It says she has worked to expand digital access and reduce barriers to obtaining licenses, recorded documents, passports and marriage licenses.
